With over 28 years of experience, 21 years with Shoura Group and 7 years before, Walid has proved an excellent multitask deliverable results at any task that has been given to him, as in export “Montana”, Auditing “Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited”and finally sales and marketing “Halwani Brothers” that gave him preliminary experience prior to joining Shoura Group.

 

On the Capacity of Star Steel General Manager, Walid joined the group reporting directly to Mr. Ashraf El Shiaty and based on his entrepreneurship ability and performance within 9 months Mr. El Shiaty Promoted him to CFO Shoura Chemicals for 5 years which increased his skills in international trade, negotiation skills and managerial experience.

 

For such dynamic and fast learning ability Walid again got promoted for another challenge in the capacity of Cement Factory Chairman for 3 years accomplishing desirable results.

 

Along with the above Walid has been on the capacity of Starchem Trade Chairman since year

2000 representing SIA Abrasives and has been interacting in many diversified business segments as in commodities “Grains” T.T.C “Toyota Tsusho”, HPL and Generators “Coelmo”.

 

He was offered shares in Starchem Trade as a reward for his contribution in the group growth and focused on growing the company in the car industry by long term relation with Axalta performance coatings.

 

International abrasives has been created for further segmentation and focused on the Abrasives market with a long term relationship with Chinese suppliers added to the newly born Shoura Coatings created for local manufacturing for the local market and complying with the country direction seeking export.

 

Walid with all integrity, enthusiasm and passion has met all challenges assigned to him by

Mr. El Shiaty.
