In his current capacity as CEO of SHOURA Group; Ashraf has been at the helm of leading the growth of his family-owned business from a market leader in agribusiness to a formidable corporate conglomerate with operations predominantly in the cement, steel, agrochemical, and real estate industries (boasting a land bank of over 10 million square meters for commercial and residential development), in addition to others.  

Today SHOURA Group holds partnership with some of the finest international names including Sumitomo Corporation, Syngenta, Axalta paints, SIA abrasives and IVECO defense vehicles; with an aggregate annual turnover of 8 billion EGP.

Pragmatic and results orientated, with a focus on bottom line results, Ashraf El-Shiaty has a track record of achieving and exceeding the standards of performance set out for any project. He is a shrewd negotiator, skilled communicator, and enjoys the ability to successfully liaise between public and private stakeholders in multi-player and multi-cultural environments.  

On the corporate and personal fronts, Ashraf is a dedicated philanthropist and avid advocator of the role of civil society in enhancing quality of life and opportunity for the impoverished.  He is a long-serving board member for several charitable organizations and undertakes personal charitable initiatives on the national and regional level.
